How to Get Free Grant Money

As the economy continues to get worse, more and more people are utilizing free grant money to help finance their personal lives.

The federal government sets aside billions of dollars every year, which is given away to students, small business owners and consumers in order to help pay for the increasing cost of living. As more and more people go into debt and are losing their homes, for example, the government is flushing more free grant money into the system to help people stay on their feet.

As long as you are an American tax payer, you have every right to apply and receive this money. And since there is no limit as to the number of free grant money programs you can apply for and receive, you could quite possibly obtain several checks in the mail worth thousands of dollars a piece.

Finding Federal Government Grants

Getting free government money is easy once you get past finding the federal government grants that are available to you. There are thousands of programs giving away free money just sitting and waiting to be claimed by someone, but they generally are not advertised and can be hidden under rocks.

So the first step to getting free government money is to get your hands on a directory of federal government grants. Once you identify the ones you qualify for, you simply tailor a proposal explaining why you would be an ideal candidate for receiving the money. Then you just wait for the check to show up in the mail.

The most common misconception is that these grants are for poor people, but that's not the case at all. Most are designed help improve society and increase success. For example, millions of dollars are given away every year to help people finance their education.

Other types of federal government grants include:
  • Small Business & Commerce - You can receive as much as a $500,000 grant to fund your small business and start-up company

  • Housing Grants - Receive assistance on a down payment, housing rehabilitation, or a real-estate investment
  • Education & Scholarships - Obtain student grants, loans, and education contracts to help you get your degree
  • Grants & Funding for Women - Get free money to fund legal expenses, starting a child-care, and more
  • Minority Assistance - Funding is available for business, arts programs, non-profit programs
